FAQs

How long does it take to see results with these four hair removal devices? How long do I need to keep using them?

   – DH4/DH5/DH5 PLUS: Recommended continuous use for 12 weeks.

Weeks 1–4: 2–3 times per week

Weeks 5–8: 1–2 times per week

Weeks 9–12: Once every two weeks

After 12 weeks, use as needed.

   – DH6/DH8:

     Weeks 1–4: Twice a week

     Weeks 5–8: Once a week

Weeks 8–12: Once every two weeks

After 12 weeks, use as needed.

   – DH10 PLUS:

Weeks 1–2: 3 times per week

     Weeks 3–5: Twice a week

After week 5: Once every two weeks or once a month

Visible hair reduction is typically seen after 4–8 weeks of consistent use. Continuous use for over 5 months can effectively suppress hair regrowth and achieve long-term hair removal results.

ALLESILK hair removal devices are less effective on light blonde, gray, red, and white hair due to low melanin content, which absorbs IPL energy poorly. Darker hair (dark blonde, brown, black) absorbs light more efficiently, leading to better removal results.

No. All four models work by using IPL photothermal energy to inhibit hair follicle activity. With continued use, hair gradually becomes finer, softer, and grows more slowly, eventually reducing regrowth. Hair does not become thicker or coarser.

The core hair removal principle is the same (550–1200nm IPL technology). Differences lie mainly in energy parameters and modes:

DH10 PLUS offers the highest energy density (0.96–6.72 J/cm²) and supports SHR exclusive hair removal mode (multi-pulse output), providing higher removal efficiency.

Who should not use these devices?

Contraindicated for:

   – Pregnant, breastfeeding, or menstruating women

   – Individuals under 18 years old

-Those with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, infectious skin conditions, immunosuppressive disorders, or bleeding disorders

   – Skin with wounds, inflammation, tattoos, pigmented moles, recent sunburn, or use of photosensitizing drugs (e.g., tetracycline)

Suitable only for Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV (very fair, fair, light brown, medium brown).

DH10 PLUS is explicitly compatible with white, beige, light brown, and medium brown skin.

Dark brown to black skin (types V–VI) is not suitable to avoid skin damage from light energy.

   – Always wear the provided protective goggles

   – Do not treat eyes, forehead, or male beard areas

   – Perform a patch test before first use (1–2 flashes on a small area of the arm; wait 24 hours for any reaction)

   – Do not flash the same area more than 2 times continuously to avoid over-treatment

Mild redness or warmth is normal and usually subsides quickly. Apply cold compress, aloe vera gel, or moisturizing toner to soothe the skin. If swelling, burns, or persistent pain occurs, stop use immediately and consult a doctor.

What are the key differences between the four models?

   – Wavelength range:

     DH5/DH5 PLUS: 550–1200nm

DH6/DH8/DH10 PLUS: 510–1200nm (covers more hair types)

   – Energy levels:

     DH5/DH5 PLUS: 8 levels

     DH6/DH8/DH10 PLUS: 9 levels

   – Flash count:

All ALLESILK devices offer 500,000 flashes, sufficient for long-term home use

   – Spot size:

     DH5/DH5 PLUS: 3.3 cm²

     DH10 PLUS: 5 cm²

     DH6: 6 cm²

DH8: 6.67 cm² (larger treatment area)

All four models are Class II devices with BF-type applied parts, compliant with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards. DH10 PLUS also meets YY9706.102-2021 medical electrical equipment safety requirements. Always follow the user manual.

What working modes do the devices offer?

   – DH5: Manual/Auto flash mode, hair removal mode (HR)

   – DH5 PLUS: Adds ice-cooling mode, skin rejuvenation mode; supports manual/auto hair removal

   – DH10 PLUS: Includes basic hair removal, intelligent skin tone recognition, skin rejuvenation (SR), and SHR exclusive hair removal mode; manual/auto flash switching is more flexible

Exclusive to DH10 PLUS. When the treatment window is placed against the skin, the device automatically detects skin tone and matches the appropriate energy level, reducing the risk of manual adjustment errors and making it easier for beginners.

   – Cooling: DH5 PLUS: short press the cooling button to turn on/off ice mode. DH10 PLUS has built-in ice-point cooling that works during treatment.

   – Skin rejuvenation (SR): Activate via mode switch button; can be used during or after hair removal to improve skin texture and reduce fine lines.

   – Note: Use on clean, dry skin free of any residue.

What preparations are needed before use?

   – Shave the treatment area to remove visible hair

   – Clean and dry the skin (no lotion, perfume, or oil residue)

   – DH5/DH5 PLUS: Do not use gels or creams

   – DH10 PLUS: Ensure no cosmetics or oils remain on skin

   – Wear protective goggles; ensure the treatment window is free of hair or dust

   – Default: Manual mode (press flash button for single flash)

   – DH4/DH5/DH5 PLUS: Long press flash button for 2 seconds to switch to auto mode (screen changes from ‘MANUAL’ to ‘AUTO’)

   – DH10 PLUS: Long press hair removal button to switch

   – In auto mode, the device flashes automatically when in contact with skin and stops when lifted

Possible reasons:

   – Treatment window not fully in contact with skin (press until skin contact indicator lights up)

   – Overheating protection triggered (let cool for 2–5 minutes)

   – Skin not clean/dry or too much hair residue

   – Clean and retry

   – Sensitive areas (face below cheekbones, bikini line): Levels 1–3

   – Limbs, underarms (more tolerant skin):

     Type I (very fair): 4–6

     Type II (fair): 3–5

     Type III (light brown): 2–3

     Type IV (medium brown): 1–3

Do the devices support global voltage? Can I take them while traveling?

Yes, all support 100–240V global wide voltage and 50/60Hz frequency. When traveling, use a plug adapter; no extra transformer needed.

   – Use only the included power adapter

   – Connect adapter to device first, then plug into outlet

   – Turn off device before unplugging to avoid damage

   – Auto shutdown: If idle for 10 minutes after power-on (energy-saving feature); long press power button to restart .

   – Unexpected shutdown: May be due to overheating protection or poor power connection; check cooling vents and power cable.

How do I clean and store the device?

   – Turn off and unplug before cleaning

   – Wipe treatment window with a soft cloth or 75% medical alcohol wipe

   – Do not wash the body with water

   – Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight, heat, or humidity

   – For long-term storage, keep in original packaging

White spots may appear with frequent use but do not affect performance or lifespan. All models use an integrated lamp head with a lifespan matching the device service period.

Recommended for personal use only. If sharing, disinfect the treatment window with alcohol wipes before each use to avoid cross-infection. Ensure users have no skin breaks or infectious conditions.

Continuous use may trigger overheating protection (temperature warning icon on screen). Turn off the device and let it cool for 2–5 minutes before resuming use. Avoid blocking air vents.

What is the warranty period and what does it cover?

   – Warranty: 1 year (from invoice date; if no invoice, from production date)

   – Coverage: Free repair or replacement for non-human-caused faults (e.g., failure to power on, charging issues, no flash)

   – Not covered: Human damage (dropping, water ingress, self-disassembly)
